Today I am grateful for the shift key, yes the shift key, it might seem like the key doesn't serve much purpose to an average 6-inch screen monkey, but this key is everything for the 15-16 inch or the 23-24-27 inch screen you have before you, provided you know how to use it, or that it exists.

The shift key, just sitting beneath the ever arrogant Caps Lock and over one of it's buddies (the ctrl key) bezides the never in use Z key (press F for the Z key to pay respects), if often overlooked despite it's size.

So now we will cite reasons why the shift key is more than just a key,

from changing letters to uppercase to using special characters to being equally responsible for the task manager screen, this marvelous key is not getting the RECOGNITION it deserves.

One, any key you press while pressing the KEY provided it is a letter key, it turns into an UPPERCASE FROM A lowercase letter. Allowing you to emphasize any words or parts you want in a BIIIGGGGGG text. The dumb caps lock key needs toggling while the shift key being so smart and efficient just needs to be released from the push and it will listen to your command.

Second, this key allows you to use the secret super special characters!!! Like the exclamation mark, ever have things you want to say but simple letters just won't do? This is where the shift key swoops in like another hero we needed and lets us use !@#$%^ to spell out things that otherwise certain community restrictions won't let us. (PS these barckets are a gift from the shift key as well)

FINALLY, the one you probably would have waiting for if you are a fellow shift key enthusiast, all caps lock users are welcome to open the task manager with the macros and end this task window, but, how will you do it??? CTRL SHIFT ESCAPE pressed down together make the ever efficient task manager appear from its slumber, it lets you check system processes, utilization, app history and startup applications. These together allow you to run the system more efficiently, let you as a person shut down the dumb application which has now crashed but hogging up memory along with read/write speed.

The shift key does all these things and still can stay as humble, not showing even a drop of arrogance, which is exactly why we appreciate it.
